Hendre Ddu Cottage

Your Snowdonia Escape

Dog friendly, self catering holiday cottage, sleeps 4

The Cottage

Nestled in a secluded valley within the Dyfi forest, in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, on the Mid/North Wales border our cosy two bedroomed, two bathroom cottage sleeps up to 4 in comfy beds.

Rescued from dereliction in 2008, it was built in 1873 for the lead quarrymen at the nearby slate mine and has been brought back to life for guests to experience the peace and tranquillity of this stunning but largely undiscovered part of Wales.

It is completely off grid with power supplied by solar panels and full central heating (Please note no Wifi and limited mobile coverage: this is a real escape)

Surrounded by forest with a large fully enclosed garden of around 3/4 acre: large decked picnic area, small woodland and plenty of parking space.

Cosy lounge with woodburning stove

Farmhouse style kitchen with range and inglenook.

Views from every window.

Pets are very welcome at no extra charge (up to 4 dogs)

Attic bedroom

Snowdonia; Mountains and Coast

There can be few parts of the UK (or even, we think, the world) that can offer the stunning variety of scenery we have here in Eryri (Snowdonia)

Crystal clear lakes, ancient castles and monasteries, tumbling waterfalls, dramatic mountains and sandy beaches. You will find all this here but you will seldom find crowds and any traffic delay is usually due to sheep on the road.

It might be quiet, but it's not dull with loads of activities and attractions to appeal to all tastes.
